Statement of Faith

In one God, who exists in three Persons – The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is loving, holy and just.
That the Bible is God’s Word. It is inspired and accurate. It is our perfect guide in all matters of life.
That sin has separated us all from God, and that only through Jesus Christ can we be reconciled to God.
That Jesus Christ is both God and Man. He was conceived by the Holy spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again. Today he is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator.
That salvation is God’s gift to us. It is available to anyone who confesses the Lord Jesus with their mouth and believes that God has raised Him from death to life.
That water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of God and a testimony of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
That the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. He guides us in all areas of our lives. He also blesses us with spiritual gifts and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit.
That the Holy communion is a celebration of Jesus’ death and our remembrance of Him.
That God wants to transform, heal and provide for us, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others.
That we are called to preach the gospel to all nations.
That our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.

DAN & NANCY THOMPSON

Founders & Lead Pastors

Dan and Nancy Thompson are the Lead Pastors of Faith Builders Family Church in Banning, California. They have been joyfully married for 45 years and have 3 adult children and 4 beautiful grandchildren. This dynamic duo has been sharing the Good News of Jesus both locally and globally for more than 40 years, leading mission trips in the nations of Mexico, The United Kingdom, India, Africa and Australia.

Dan, the Founder and CEO of FBFC, oversees the church members and visitors by teaching and educating them in the Gospel of Peace. He is a prolific student of the Word, holding 6 college diplomas two of which include a Master’s Degree in Religious Education and a PhD. in Biblical Studies from Bethel Bible College. He is also a former instructor at both Bethel Bible College and Cottonwood Christian Center Bible School in California.

LARRY & ROE RUIZ

Pastors

Larry and Roe have been Associate Pastors and serving alongside Pastors Dan and Nancy Thompson since 1977. As Larry puts it “We found what we didn’t know we were missing and never left!” Larry and his bride are graduates of Spirit Life Bible College. Over the years, they have put into practice everything they have learned through their Lead Pastors. As a result, they have had numerous opportunities to pray and minister the Gifts to people of all walks of life.

Larry and his bride have been married for 63 years! They attribute their lasting marriage to the Lord being the center of their marriage, a mutual love and respect for each other, being aware of each other’s feelings and how to compromise on decision making. This lovely couple has 3 adult children, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Larry is a retired truck driver for the City of Hemet. He loves fishing and studying the Word. His life scripture is Psalm 91 and Psalm 103. Roe ran her household and raised her children into adulthood. She now enjoys the fruits of her labor by spending time with Larry and their beautiful family. She also loves studying the Word, camping, being outdoors and gardening. Her life scripture is Romans 1:16.

HELENE ZIEM

Church Leader

Helene has been a member of Pastors Dan and Nancy’s church for 38 years. She serves as a member of the church Leadership Team and also leads the Hospitality Team. You don’t want to miss out when Helene is cooking! She is a graduate of Spirit Life Bible College.

Helene is happily married to her husband Steve and has 2 adult children, 9 grandchildren with 1 more on the way. Her greatest joy are her grandkids and family.

She has been a hair stylist for 47 years and is the proud business owner of the Huntress Styling Salon located in Beaumont. Helene brings beauty into the world through her smile, giving heart and love for serving others. Her salon has become her mission field as she brings her client’s inner beauty to the surface which inadvertently reminds them of their God-instilled identity.

Helene’s hobbies include cooking and shopping. Her life scripture is Deuteronomy 28:8, 12 and Philippians 4:13.

DOROTHY FAMILETTI-McLEAN

Church Leader

Dorothy grew up in New York and has lived in Banning for more than 50 years. She now considers herself a Californian. Dorothy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Liberal Studies as well as a Masters Degree in Human Behavior. Her achievements in higher education have allowed her the good fortune to teach high school for 26 years and to interact with hundreds of students.

As part-time secretary for Faith Builders Family Church, Dorothy is responsible for promoting church events through local sources and public service announcements. As a leadership team member, she assists in the decision-making process. Dorothy considers herself a servant and volunteer who is always ready to help. She has set a goal for herself to be a support to FBFC in word and deed.

Dorothy has three grown sons and daughters-in-law. She also has five lovely grandchildren. Her fun time is spent with her beautiful family and adorable Sky Terrier. Dorothy enjoys cooking and baking and loves searching for new recipes that she can experiment with.

Her life scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

BETTYE STOKES

Church Leader

Bettye has been a member of FBFC for over 30 years. She serves in Leadership as Head Greeter.

Bettye attended Spirit Life Bible College and has hosted Bible Studies in her home which also included counseling and ministry of infilling of the Holy Spirit.

She has four children and has worked in the In-Home Adult Care Industry for over 30 years. Bettye loves gardening and has an affinity for the cactus plant.

Her life scripture is 2 Peter 1:1-2

FRANK & SHERYL DeHARO

Church Leaders

Frank serves as a Leader at FBFC as Head Usher.

Sheryl has been serving as a Leader at FBFC's Children's Church for the last 25 years! Her role includes teaching and instilling Biblical principles to children in our Toddler program.

Sheryl has taken leadership classes at Bethel College and attended Spirit Life Bible College. She also works as a Paraprofessional for the Banning Unified School District for 32 years.

Frank and Sheryl have a wonderful family that includes 3 sons, 4 daughters and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sheryl love to crochet and her life scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:13.

LOUISE RAMMEL

Church Leader

Louise serves as a Leader in our Children’s Church Nursery program for children ages infant to 3 years old.

She and her husband Greg have been married for 18 years and they have 2 sons and a granddaughter. Louise recalls her heart opening up to serve children after her granddaughter was born five years ago. She believes that every child that comes into this world is deserving of a bright future and that FBFC is a great and loving place to begin their relationship with Jesus.

Louise is a Courier for Fedex and she loves going on walks and reading scriptures.

Her life scripture is Jeremiah 29:11

CLARENCE McCARTHY

Church Leader

Clarence serves in the Media Production Department at FBFC and also ministers in Sunday and Wednesday services. He was previously a volunteer Youth Pastor for 5 years at FBFC.

Clarence attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and also studied at Spirit Life Bible College.

He and his wife, Angela, have been married for 11 years and have two daughters: Aubrey, 10 and Peyton, 6.

Clarence works in warehouse management and, in his spare time, enjoys reading, bowling, time with family and watching sports.

His life scripture is 1 John 4:10
